It's a wonderful time, spring. Nature recovers from the hardships of winter and shows itself from its most beautiful side.
In the Engadin, at almost 2,000 meters above sea level, spring always comes a little later, i.e. from mid-May (until June) depending on the temperatures. But, as the saying goes: good things take time. And the little bit of patience that you have to have for the Engadin mountain spring is definitely worth it.

- The proximity to the king of the Alps, the Capricorn (May): Every year, wild animals flock to the edge of the village of Pontresina to enjoy the first green grass. A real experience when you can watch the ibex as they eat, how they climb and how they interact with each other. Sometimes peacefully, sometimes the – horns meet fascinatingly! And so close. Make yourself here a picture yourself.
- The Spring -Hike (May and June): there are numerous hiking trails in the well-connected Engadin, on which you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the landscape. Most of the paths are snow-free and nature is slowly waking up from its hibernation. A wonderful hike, for example, is the glacier trail Morteratsch, which takes you to the glacier tongue.
- The Ride a bike: Either jet across the empty trails on your bike or on the quiet streets on your racing bike; There is also an incredible amount to discover on two wheels. But watch out: it's not that warm yet and good clothing is advisable in any case.
- the forests: even the trees, in many places larches in the Engadin, are awakening to new life. Observe the pretty fresh shoots on the branches and watch the squirrels having fun in the treetops.
- the Quiet: In May and June, the Engadin is still relatively uncrowded. The crowds don't come back until early July. If you also like it rather quiet, spring is your perfect travel time.
- the freshness: Fresh, sour, clean and wonderful mountain air awaits you in the Engadin at any time of the year. Now, in spring, it is particularly nice to enjoy the freshness. It is quite possible that May, even June, will bring snow again. But one thing is certain: here you can really get some fresh air before a hot summer.
- The magnificence of meadow flowers: In mountain spring, many different flowers and herbs bloom together. This results in a fantastic bloom.
