Dear Morteratsch friends
An unbelievable summer season is coming to an end – we say CIAO and THANK YOU and take a look back.
It rained. It rained a lot…
We finally celebrated weddings again!
We had an incredible number of guests, whatever the weather. Fantastic! and (nearly) Allways in a good mood.
We took a look at what we used this summer. And we have to admit that we are even surprised by our numbers ourselves.
Are you curious and have you wondered how much we serve in one season? Here, see for yourself:
We have about 1’300 Served green salads and over 1’600 mixed, that corresponds to a total of approx 870 kg of lettuce.
What do you think which soup is the most popular with us? Exactly, the barley soup. We have approx 1’500 Servings made – all homemade.
Rösti is the Swiss national dish –, but we could almost rename it Morterasti, because we have over 2’500 Röstis fried this summer season.
|And now the blast comes, hold on tight! We have about 6’000 Slice of cake sold. Imagine that?! 6,000 pieces. And each one has to be baked, placed on a plate with a serviette and fork and carried to the guest.|
|Wow, you have to let that sink in first. Now you might be thinking: yes, if so much cake has been sold, then it was certainly not a little coffee…. Yes, actually, correct thought:|
We have over, believe it or not 20’000 Cups of coffee brought to our guests (and probably drank half as much myself again).
That's crazy, don't you think?
And all of this would simply not be possible without our valuable employees and colleagues –, who on average are approx 20’000 Take steps per working day, by the way.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our entire team! You are FANTASTIC!
I think each and every one of us definitely deserves the title “Team-Fantastisch”! What do you think?
Of course, we would also like to thank our numerous guests. You make all of this possible here in the first place and we are very proud that so many people come to Morteratsch every day. THANK YOU 🤩
So, we say CIAO and THANK YOU for the summer of 2021.
And we look forward to welcoming you all again from December 3rd for the winter season!
Christophe, Julia and the team-Fantastic
PS: We would like to thank Peter Eggenschwiler for the fantastic cover picture.
