Freeride-Paradies Diavolezza-Lagalb
100 percent untracked powder: what freerider doesn't dream of such conditions? In the freeride paradises »Diavolezza« and »Lagalb«, there are particularly good chances of experiencing the total powder- rush away from slope markings and safety nets. Especially if you are traveling with one of the experienced mountain guides from »Go Vertical«. If you want to experience the most beautiful couloirs and deep-snow descents safely, this is the place for you ? and can also rent the necessary material right away.
Diavolezza glacier run
The journey begins with a comfortable gondola ride, but minutes later the longest glacier descent in Switzerland, at ten kilometers, presents its fascinating side: It leads through a wilderness of snow and ice in around 45 minutes.
In contrast to many smooth glacier ski areas, it runs over the Pers- and Morteratsch glacier to the end of the ice tongue and ends right in front of the sun terrace of the restaurant at the Morteratsch train station. The downhill route is marked in yellow on both sides of the piste, secured and not groomed. It largely corresponds to the level of difficulty of a red slope; 300 meters are classified as black.
