Hike

The high valley of the Upper Engadine with its diverse 580-kilometer hiking trail network is a true paradise. The contrasts that characterize this region cast a spell over everyone. The archaic nature can be experienced up close, whether while hiking on one of the breathtaking panoramic trails, during an exciting themed hike, while strolling along the glittering lakes or on a multi-day trekking tour.

There are also hiking trails suitable for strollers, which are particularly suitable for families, as well as ten wheelchair-accessible hiking trails. If you would rather go on a longer mountain tour, the Corviglia/Piz Nair, Corvatsch/Furtschellas, Diavolezza and Muottas Muragl/Alp Languard areas, which are accessible by cable cars, offer fascinating high-altitude hikes with spectacular views.

The Mortertasch-Crew knows and loves the beautiful valley – just ask us!

Highlights in the Engadine

Hike step by step in the footsteps of the third longest glacier in the Eastern Alps– this is what the Morteratsch Glacier Trail offers. 16 stopping points provide information about the retreat of the glacier and the mysterious life in its foreland. Where else can you marvel at, touch and even walk on the eternal ice after such a short walk?

After just 50 minutes' walk from Morteratsch station, you can see the destination: the milky glacier lake and the gigantic tongue of ice. The LiteraTOUR is a literary treat. The captivating audio texts tell anecdotes, poems and reports from various eras. Children can follow the stories of the Morteratsch children's book "Sabi's big dream" in the unique glacier world and collect exciting impressions.
